Message: Very Clean Comfortable Shopping.

Message: Big spacious aisles, not claustrophobic. Cheeze is expensive. Save a buck or two per pound on cheese at Foodtown in Hewlett. It was my 3rd time in the spacious King Kullen, and I was loving it, but price may take a priority.. My first time since I got back from Neptune, so it's been a long time since I bought a bag of mixed greens, thoroughly washed, ready to eat, so salad shouldn't be a punishment if you don't have to wash and dry it. Lots of similar bags, I took the first bag of Spring Mix that jumped out at me. I get it home, and it's mostly ok, but some of it is starting to wilt pretty bad. Shades of disintegrating into slime.. So, what did I (re)learn today? When you go for a bag of pre-washed salad things, check the "Use By" date. Today is Aug 26, and the bag's Use By date is Aug 26. I'll bet that if I "leafed" through the bags, I could have found one with a later Use By date. Next time.

Message: The store is clean, food is fresh and there is variety. The staff are helpful and the ones I've run into are patient. I see there is a large family and senior citizen clientele who frequent this supermarket and the staff is accommodating, plus there are rarely spills in the aisles. Bonus, spacious clean restrooms. The price points are getting better because they used to be steep. Definite 4 out of 5 for me.
